How to start a career in OI?

There are various ways to start a career in OI. First, following the recruitment process the positions of General Services, which is usually done locally with the announcement that was published on the internet and local media. Second, following recruitment positions Professional Services performed internationally and highly competitive selection process. In addition to professional qualifications, the deciding factor to consider is the representation of region, age, gender and language skills.

In general there are 2 (two) types of candidates for Professional Services, and the means and opportunity to obtain these positions vary according to categories: i) a recent graduate (fresh graduate) with limited work experience, and ii) have professional work experience enough. A) Graduates with limited work experience (fresh graduate)

College graduates with a Bachelor, Master and Doctoral have the opportunity to work on OI in the following way:

Trainee or Internship Programmes

The majority of OI have internship programs or trainees who started a few times a year and lasts for 2-6 months. These programs are open to students of Master or Doctoral programs. Some OI have a maximum age limit between 30-35 years. Penerimaan PLN Tingkat SMUSpetember 2011 : The history of electrical companies in Indonesia began at the end of 19th century, when Dutch colonists introduced the first electrical generator. That electrical energy enterprise then expanded into the public interest company, NV.NIGM, formerly dealing in gas area only, enlarged its business into the area of electrical energy. In World War II, the Japanese took those electrical companies under control. And after the Indonesian Independence day on August 17, 1945, the Indonesian youth took control of those electrical companies in September 1945 and handed it over to the government of the Republic of Indonesia.

On October 27, 1945 President Sukarno established the Jawatan Listrik dan Gas (Bureau of Electricity And Gas), with the capacity of the electrical energy generator only 157.5 MW.

On January 1, 1961, the bureau of Electricity and Gas was changed into BPU PLN (''Badan Pimpinan Umum Perusahaan Listrik Negara) which dealt in the areas of electricity, agas, and kokas (a type of fuel derived from the remains of coal).

On January 1, 1965, BPU-PLN was closed and two governmental companies, were set up, Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) handling the electrical energy and Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) handling gas. The capacity of the electrical-power generator of PLN, then, was 300 MW.

Indonesia's new electricity law, approved in September 2002, requires an end to PLN's monopoly on electricity distribution within five years, after which time private companies (both foreign and domestic) will be permitted to sell electricity directly to consumers. However, all companies will need to use PLN's existing transmission network.

PLN currently employs 47,532 staff across the country with 15.6% of them having graduated and post graduated.

In the first half of 2011, PT PLN generated 88.2 terawatt-hours (TWh). They are generating by 24 percent oil-based fuel with planned to reduce at 3 percent by 2013 and at 1.73 percent by 2014.

Lowongan Kerja Pertamina EP September 2011 : The history of Pertamina EP is interconnected with the lengthy history of oil and gas quest around the archipelago which was started in early 19th century. Between 1871 to 1885 was early quest era until oil discovery in Dutch-occupied Indonesia. Following first drilling in 1883 at Telaga Tiga, Pangkalan Berandan, South Sumatra, Royal Dutch Company was established in Pangkalan Berandan in 1885. Since then, the exploitation of oil in the archipelago began.

During the East Asia war, oil production experienced a distortion. During Japan occupation, efforts were limited to rehabilitation of damaged fields and wells as the impact of war.

Oil production was discontinued during the war for independence. When it was over and the nation started to run more organized governance, control over oil business became less clear. Numerous small companies spurted to take advantage of oil fortune thus causing disputes. To subdue the disputes, control over oil was given to the Army.

To acnticipate it, the government established a national oil company on 10 December 1957 namely PT Perusahaan Minyak Nasional, PERMINA. In 1968, PERMINA merged with PERTAMIN and changed its name to PERTAMINA. To strengthen the new company, the government issued Law No. 8 in 1971, that positioned PERTAMINA as state-owned oil and gas company. The law obliged all oil companies interested in running their business in Indonesia to cooperate with PERTAMINA. This resulted in PERTAMINA to act as a regulator for partners who were under Cooperation Contract mechanism in PERTAMINA working areas. On the other hand, PERTAMINA also acted as operator who managed its own working areas.

Parallel to the dynamic shifts of the global and national oil and gas industry, the government issued Oil and Gas Law No. 22 /2001. Due to the law enactment, PERTAMINA status was changed into a State-Owned Enterprise and renamed as PT Pertamina (Persero). Consequently, the Company’s role became an operator under Cooperation Contract with BPMIGAS as the government’s representative. The law also urged PT Pertamina (Persero) to establish separate business subsidiaries so that the business of exploration, exploitation and production of oil and gas become more manageable.

It was on such ground that Pertamina EP was established on 13 September 2005. Then on 17 September 2005 PT Pertamina (Persero) signed a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with BPMIGAS, governing all oil and gas mining areas accordingly. Eventually, majority of those areas became Pertamina EP’s working areas. At the same time, Pertamina EP also signed a Production Sharing Contract with BPMIGAS valid since17 September 2005.

Therefore, Pertamina EP’s working areas are those previously managed by PT Pertamina (Persero), including those previously managed by PT Pertamina (Persero) through Technical Assistance Contract (TAC) and Joint Operating Body Enhanced Oil Recovery (JOB EOR)

Informasi CPNS 2011 : Pemerintah Membatalkan Moratorium CPNS 2011 >> Pemerintah membatalkan melakukan moratorium (menghentikan) penerimaan CPNS (Calon Pegawai Negeri Sipil), karena tetap akan menerima CPNS sesuai kebutuhan termasuk para honorer.

Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono dalam pidato pengantar rapat terbatas, di Kantor Presiden,
Jakarta, Selasa( 2/8), menyatakan bahwa permasalahan pengangkatan dan perekrutan pegawai negeri yang masih berstatus honorer harus segera diselesaikan, sehingga ada kejelasan status bagi mereka dan tidak menganggu kinerja memberikan pelayanan pada masyarakat.

Rapat terbatas yang membahas bidang politik, hukum dan keamanan itu dihadiri juga Wakil Presiden Boediono dan para menteri terkait.

Presiden menjelaskan pengaturan mengenai pengangkatan pegawai berstatus honorer menjadi pegawai tetap dan juga perekrutan pegawai tidak tetap harus proporsional dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan serta kemampuan anggaran.

Dalam perkembangannya, banyak tenaga honorer baru di banyak daerah. Untuk itu pemerintah berinisiatif mencarikan solusi. “Solusi yang kita mesti ambil, pertama-tama haruslah dihitung secara cermat berapa kebutuhan pegawai negeri ini dalam kegiatan penyelenggaraan negara. Bukan hanya pemerintahan, melainkan juga pada lembaga-lembaga negara yang lain,” kata SBY.

Menteri PAN dan Birokrasi Reformasi AE Mangindaan mengatakan, penerimaan CPNS, khususnya honorer bukan bidang administratif karena bidang ini sudah banyak.

“Jadi sekarang ini penerimaan CPNS bidang teknis-teknis yang diperlukan, seperti penyuluh lapangan pertanian, medis penyuluhan kesehatan,” papar Mangindaan usai rapat terbatas.

Ia mengatakan moratorium tetap dilaksanakan tapi ada pengecualian yakni penerimaan yang paling lama Tahun 2005. Ia menjelaskan penerimaan CPNS harus disesuaikan dengan anggaran negara.

“Jadi moratorium tidak kaku, ada pengecualiannya. Sekarang kalau tidak ada pengecualian, misalnya, mereka yang lulus STPDN (Sekolah Tinggi Pemerintah Dalam Negeri), STAN (Sekolah Tinggi Akuntansi Negara) kalau merek tidak diangkat menjadi PNS lalu mau menjadi apa,” papar dia

Mangindaan menambahkan dalam penerimaan CPNS yang penting penerimaannya tidak melebih jumlah yang PNS pensiun, harus lebih kecil dari yang pensiun. “Tahun ini PNS yang pensiun jumlahnya 130 ribu seluruh Indonesia,” katanya. (Pos Kota)
